톤(Tone)? 컬러와 뭐가 다르지?

톤이란 무엇인가? 톤은 컬러와 밝기(명도)의 조합이다. 컬러가 색에 관한 이야기라면 톤은 이미지에 관한 이야기 라고 할 수 있다. 즉, 어떤 톤이냐에 따라 색이 공간에 주는 이미지가 달라진다. 따뜻한 공간이 되기도 하고, 클래식하며 럭셔리한 공간이 되기도 한다. 크게 12가지의 색을 12 가지의 톤으로 구분하여 설명한다. 컬러는 각 톤에 따라 다른 이미지를 가지고 있으며, 각 톤의 그룹은 다른 컬러임에도 같은 이미지를 가진다. 즉 톤이 같은 색은 색상 자체가 바뀌어도 감정 효과는 공통되므로 톤의 이미지를 알아두면 그 톤에 속하는 어떤 색을 사용하더라도 그 이미지에 가깝게 연출할 수 있다는 뜻이다. 자료 : PCCS의 COLOR-TONE CHART 일본색연배색체계(PCCS : Practical Color ..
